Disappointed!!! My wife I stayed at Gwel an Mor with my mum back in September this year. We was really looking forward to a nice relaxing break. Unfortunately we was very disappointed with our Scandinavian lodge which was advertised as a 5 star lodge. It certainly has the potential to be nice but our experience was sadly not a good one. Upon arrival we went to our lodge to find it was extremely dirty to the point that we had to clean the lodge again before we could relax & unpack. It certainly doesn’t live up to a 5 star rating. Our bathroom was dirty with grime around the taps & shower, the bedroom floor was dirty with dust, decking was dirty, the beds were dirty, the bath robes were dirty with stains on. Plus the pool was closed for one and half days. Despite communications with Gwel an Mor along with pictures to show the state of the lodge our concerns were never acknowledged just brushed aside and told us that each lodge goes through a strict 4 hour cleaning process. It’s sad that our stay was not a pleasant experience as we was looking for a nice lodge we can keep going back to. 😞

Went for 5 days in one of their lodges. Wonderful rooms, massive inside, pots, pans, Eco-freindly cleaning products were all supplied to us. It was a home away from home. The views were absolutely amazing. Only a 10 minute walk from a stunning beach.

Lovely resort and great location. a few things letting down the overall experience. We went the week before half term and felt a bit hard done by because a lot of the activities were closed, even though it felt like they were gearing up to be open again the week after we left. We booked looking forward to the new outdoor kitchen which it said would be open but wasn't and there was no explanation. The pool is only open until 6. If you have a baby with you you'll know that a swim might only be possible after bedtime at 6pm. Even extending this by 2 hours would have made a massive difference to our experience because we could have taken it in turns to use the spa. The sauna was out of order the whole week. Our lodge was gorgeous and had a beautiful view but was showing its age a bit with the details, like there was no longer a way to secure the double doors which separate the cot from the main bedroom so they had to stay open. Would have been a lovely feature if fully functional. The app with the keys is silly and didn't work for us. Sometimes it auto locked behind us and sometimes it didn't. We couldn't be sure it was locked at night because if you go to test it from inside it opens automatically. We also got stuck at the main gate twice which didn't open via the app. We had a nice time! We would go again! But yeah some room for improvement

Gwelanmor has always been a beautiful place to stay, luxury lodges at the top of Portreath. Restaurant, small gym & Pool onsite and play park. Quiet location, and at night, leave the patio doors open, and you can hear the waves crashing into the Cliffs. Bit pricey but worth it 👌🏽

Another excellent holiday at Gwel an Mor. Staff at the Restaurant and reception were so friendly and helpful. A special mention to Will at our Badger watching experience, he was so kind and made our experience so lovely. Staff around the site in general were all so kind and helpful. Thank you.

The lodge was lovely,but very noisey creaking floorboards, and the hot tub , was old and worn out , and we were unsure if it had been maintained properly . Beautiful views nice surroundings and and the restaurant was good , grounds clean and tidy . And we Enjoyed our stay
